Lenovo has just announced its first smartphone to feature dual front cameras, the Vibe S1. The new handset has been officially unveiled during the company's press conference at IFA 2015 trade fair.

However, this is not the first time we hear about Lenovo's Vibe S1 smartphone, as the handset leaked a few months ago.

According to Lenovo, Vibe S1 is “truly unique because of its dual selfie cameras.” It's true that the smartphone packs a main 8-megapixel front-facing camera that should take great selfies.

Also, the 8-megapixel front-facing camera is complemented by a 2-megapixel secondary front camera that analyzes depth of field info to replicate human binocular vision.

Moreover, after taking a selfie with the Vibe S1, users will have to option to modify the picture by selecting from a number of built-in photo editing tools.

The smartphone's main front camera features BSI sensor, which should improve clarity and quality of selfies taken in darker surroundings.

It's not only the front cameras that make the Vibe S1 special

On the back, Vibe S1 packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper which features phase-detection autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and video recording.

When it comes to hardware, Lenovo Vibe S1 surely doesn't disappoint. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, which is complemented by 3GB of RAM.

It's also worth mentioning that the smartphone packs 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 160GB via microSD card slot.

Lenovo Vibe S1 comes preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and is powered by a 2,420 mAh battery.

Furthermore, the smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

It also features a curved-glass rear panel made of Corning Gorilla Glass 4, as well as thin rounded metal frame that goes round the side.

Lenovo Vibe S1 will be available for purchase beginning November in countries where the Chinese company's smartphone are sold. Customers will be able to get it for around $200 outright, but prices may vary from country to country.
