14 DAY TRIAL // It looks like Alcatel continues to launch new smartphones at IFA 2015. We have already reported to you that the Chinese company unveiled the rugged GO PLAY smartphone and GO WATCH, but also the affordable Pop Star and Pop Up Android phones.
Today, Alcatel is back with yet another Android smartphone, but this time belonging to the high-end tier. The OneTouch Idol 3C is another variation of the OneTouch Idol 3 that was officially unveiled earlier this year.
This means that you should expect this one to be priced very low, which will make it a great deal considering its specs.
Speaking of which, Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C will be powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
Alcatel's affordable flagship smartphone packs 16GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Just like the OneTouch Idol 3, the 3C model sports a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Technicolor Color Enhance technology.
On the back, Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera for great selfies and video recording.
A perfectly symmetrical high-end smartphone for less than $300
One of the things that will probably differentiate the Idol 3C from other smartphones is its looks. The phone has been designed to look perfectly symmetrical, which means you won't be able to tell where the bottom is and where the top side is.
The UI has been developed to offer the same feeling that the phone is perfectly symmetrical. On top of that, the OneTouch Idol 3C comes with great JBP stereo speakers and features Harman Cari-Fi technology.
No word on pricing and availability yet, but since it's another variation of OneTouch Idol 3, it should cost more than $250 outright.
