Alcatel recently unveiled two new waterproof devices, which should be released by the end of the year: OneTouch GO PLAY and OneTouch GO WATCH.

The former is an affordable smartphone, while the latter is a smartwatch, possibly the company's second product in this category.

According to Alcatel, the OneTouch GO PLAY smartphone is waterproof and can shoot pictures and videos underwater.

Moreover, it's dustproof, shockproof and packs a decent non-removable 2,500 mAh battery, which should provide up to 20 days of standby time, 8.3 hours of talk time or up to 55 hours of music playback.

“Waterproof. Dustproof. And shockproof. In a crowded subway and someone pushes you while you’re texting? Crowd surfing and your phone slips from your fingertips? These things could happen to anyone. GO PLAY has you covered when you have the dropsies or just have bad luck,” says Alcatel.

Moving on to specs, the OneTouch GO PLAY sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Hopefully, they will be cheap enough

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 1GB of RAM. It packs only 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

The GO WATCH smartwatch features IP67 certification as well, which makes it shockproof and waterproof. It doesn't run Android Wear, but the same UI that powers the first Alcatel smartwatch.

It's equipped with a Cortex-M4 chipset and features a 225 mAh battery that should last for 2-5 days of use when the smartwatch is paired with an Android or iOS device.

Alcatel also confirmed that GO WATCH is fully customizable with a changeable front casing and wristband. You can also use the smartwatch to measure your heart rate.

The Chinese company has yet to announce pricing and availability for the GO PLAY and GO WATCH devices.
