Acer surprised everyone at IFA 2015 with its high-end products. After unveiling the Jade Primo Windows Phone flagship smartphone, the company announced a new lineup of Android devices aimed at gamers.

The new lineup is called Predator and includes not just smartphones and tablets, but also laptops, netbooks, desktop PCs and monitors.

However, we will be discussing the new Predator 6 smartphone and Predator 8 tablet, which are expected to make their debut on the market this year.

Acer Predator 6 is a top tier Android smartphone, which means it should pack the latest technologies available on the market.

The handset boasts a large 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display of unknown resolution, which should provide Android users with a smooth gaming experience.

On the inside, Acer's high-end phablet is equipped with a deca-core MediaTek processor (possibly Helio X20), which is complemented by no less than 4GB of RAM.

There's also an impressive 21-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

Unfortunately, not much else is known about Predator 6 in terms of specs, but we suspect Acer will be back with more info on the gaming smartphone in the coming weeks.

The Predator tablet will be the first to go on sale

Next in line, the Predator 8 is an Android tablet that sports an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution.

The slate is powered by an Intel Atom X7-Z8700 processor and a Gen. 8-LP Intel HD Graphics. It will come with 2GB RAM inside, and either 32GB or 64GB internal memory onboard. There's no word on microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Acer Predator 8 tablet is expected to make its debut in North America on November 6 where it will sell for just $225 outright.

That's all we know about Acer's new Predator smartphone and tablet for the moment, but expect more info to emerge soon.
