Acer was one of the first companies to unveil its Android and Windows Phone handsets at IFA 2015 trade fair.

We have already reported to you about the company's affordable and high-end smartphones powered by Windows 10 Mobile, so now let's check out some of Acer's Android handsets.

The most advanced seems to be the Acer Liquid Z630, which sports a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Zero Air Gap technology.

The smartphone ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753 processor.

According to Acer, the Liquid Z630 packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

Dual 8MP camera and long-lasting 4,000 mAh battery

On the back, the mid-range Android smartphone features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 8-megapixel camera with wide view angle lens that can capture full HD (1080p) video and great selfies.

In the connectivity front, Acer Liquid Z630 is an all-rounder. The smartphone offers 4G LTE support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with LE connectivity, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

Acer also confirms the Liquid Z630 is equipped with AcerEXTEND, which should connect wirelessly to a compatible laptop or PC and let users view the phone's home screen in a phone-shaped emulator box on the computer.

But the main selling point of the Liquid S630 is the high-capacity 4,000 mAh battery, which should ensure lasting performance from every charge.

Acer Liquid Z630 will be available for purchase in EMEA beginning later this month. Customers will be able to get it for prices starting at €200.

It's also worth mentioning that Acer will also launch the Liquid Z630S model powered by an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, which will be more expensive.
