The intense first-person rail shooter developed by id Software known as RAGE has been promoted to version 1.11, an update that brings Game Center and Gyroscope support, among other noteworthy enhancements.
RAGE casts players in the starring role of a post-apocalyptic game show where they are stalked by hungry mutants.
Gamers scour levels for ammo and cash pick-ups.
According to the plot, players make a deal with J.K Stiles, the show’s host, and prepare to try and survive a carnage-filled carnival of death.
id Software has created RAGE specifically for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, with high resolution graphics, including an exclusive HD version for the newest generations of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, coupled with dynamic music and sound effects.
“The RAGE update you’ve been waiting for – Game Center & Gyroscope Support!” id Software states, as it prepares to dish out the new features and enhancements in RAGE 1.11.
According to the RAGE iTunes description, the following elements have been included in the latest release:
• Game Center Leaderboards – Compare your daily, weekly and all-time scores with friends as well as global leaders.
• Game Center Achievements – More than 50 achievements to unlock. Career, map and difficulty specific challenges!
• Gyroscope Support (iPhone 4 & iPod touch 4) – Hold and move your iPhone in front of you like a virtual window with full gyroscopic aiming control.
• Museum Mode – Explore the levels at your own pace, eerily void of any mutants. Take-in a taste of the spectacular RAGE universe, powered by id Tech megatexturing technology
• 2nd Display Support – Play on a TV or Monitor using your iDevice as a controller. Output 480p over the official Apple Component cable & 720p over the official Apple VGA cable.
• Mirror Mode – mirrored levels flips the world for a new shooting experience.
• Language Localization - now in French, Italian, German & Spanish.
