In addition to the Auxus Note 5.5, Indian mobile phone maker iberry has also made official the Auxus AX04i phablet today, which is set to become available for purchase in the country on August 21 with a price tag of Rs. 6,490 ($106/€80) attached to it.

Basically, this is a new version of the Auxus AX04 (which can be seen in the photo on the right), one that also features support for 3G networks in the country.

The new handset was announced with a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display and with a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 GPU, as well as with only 512MB of RAM.

However, the smartphone still includes dual-SIM capabilities, along with support for 3G HSPA+ networks, and with the usual Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and USB OTG capabilities.

Moreover, the handset sports 4GB of internal storage, which can be easily expanded by up to 64GB, via a microSD memory card slot.

The new iberry Auxus AX04i also includes a 2-megapixel camera on the back, along with a VGA front camera. It will certainly not be able to deliver a high-end imaging experience, though this was somehow expected, considering its price tag.

The new phablet runs under the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, and will be released in India exclusively via eBay, a recent article on fonearena reads.
