ParkVu has announced the release of Music WithMe, an application that allows BlackBerry owners to wirelessly synchronize iTunes playlists with their smartphone. With Music WithMe, users can enjoy their favorite music while on the go without the hassle of using a data cable.

From wherever a cellular network or a Wi-Fi connection is available, BlackBerry owners can automatically download music files from the iTunes library to their smartphone. Music WithMe is not a streaming application - once the music is downloaded, a wireless connection is no longer required. This helps minimize data traffic and save battery life, allowing a fluent music listening experience regardless of cellular coverage.

To get started, users need to first install the Music WithMe application on the BlackBerry and desktop software on the computer. After choosing the desired playliststs on the mobile device, Music WithMe will automatically download the selected tracks to the smartphone. Once the music is downloaded, users can view the playlists directly in the BlackBerry media player and play the tracks in the usual way. Music WithMe does not have to be open on the device to synchronize with iTunes. When the playlists are selected, the settings are stored directly on the BlackBerry.

"We are extremely excited to introduce Music WithMe to the BlackBerry smartphone community," said Terry Goertz, co-CEO of ParkVu. "Music WithMe provides smartphone owners with the easiest way to get your iTunes music on your smartphone and keep it updated – without the hassle of USB cables."

Music WithMe can be purchased for a one-time fee of $14.99. A 30-day trial version is available for download from BlackBerry App World. To run it, users need a BlackBerry device with OS 4.5 or later. The application is compatible with iTunes v7.1 and higher on Windows XP/Vista/7. Besides BlackBerry, Music WithMe versions are planned for Android, Symbian and Maemo platforms. Also, an OS X Music WithMe client is scheduled for release this summer.
