Even though there was a slower start to it, Apple's iTunes recovered miraculously and now celebrates it's 250 million song being sold.

Actually, at a rate of about 1 million sales everyday it's hard to pin exactly when that specific sale took place and who was the "lucky winner".

iTunes Music Store is available in 15 countries and if the selling boom continues at a rate of 1,25 million songs per day, it will average half a billion song being sold every year. That's a lot of tunes. Rival services take on the challenge, but aren't getting very close to Apple's offer.

Maybe diverting towards video search and sale or even game sale would do the trick for some, Napster maybe.

The engine behind the iTunes is, no doubt, the wonder player, the iPod, which has taken the world by storm, has caused so many to think about ditching Windows systems for Macs and has sold out throughout Japan, US and Europe.

It comes in so many shapes and colors, no wonder there's one to fit everyone's pocket. The Mini, the Photo, the U2 design and now the Shuffle are all up for grabs and they don't last long in stores. And if you spent a pretty good dollar on getting such a player, it doesn't make much sense going to the competition to download songs which you can't play with your new gadget, does it?
