The famous American film director, writer, producer and cinematographer has a dedicated page and bundle in iTunes. The AppStore editors marked his 86th birthday anniversary with a one-time-only bundle featuring his greatest movies.

Stanley Kubrick is described as one of the most influential directors in cinema history. He was born in Bronx, and although he did not have any formal movie-making training, he went on to becoming one of the most appreciated filmmakers of the last century. Kubrick only released five films in his last 30 years, but his filmography arguably contains some of the 20th century’s most significant works.

The iTunes page dedicated to his work has three different categories: Essentials, More Classics and Soundtracks. There is also a "Stanley Kubrick 7 Film Collection" available for just $39.99 (€29.94). When you buy the bundle, you get access to a 30-minute documentary featuring movie legends like Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese and Kirk Douglas. They all talk about Kubrick's life and career.

One of his masterpieces, "2001: A Space Odyssey," can be purchased or rented in HD and has the iTunes Extras package available. The movie shot in the '60s is a landmark of science fiction. The movie follows the story of a pair of astronauts that head to Jupiter to investigate a radio signal sent from a mysterious moon. Everything gets weird when the onboard computer starts acting up. This film is considered a classic and almost 50 years later it still is in the forefront of SF cinema.

If SF is not for you, then maybe "The Shining" is going to be your guilty pleasure. The Horror movie starring Academy Award-winner Jack Nicholson is based on a bestseller by Stephen King. It was dubbed as the most haunting and psychologically devastating horror films ever made.

Another recent classic is "Eyes Wide Shut." Kubrick has passed away seven months before the movie's release, but the masterpiece lived on to see the light of the cinema projectors. This movie, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, was described as a mesmerizing and hypnotic psychosexual drama. The title is explained by the phrase "Sometimes you can see more clearly with your eyes Wide Shut."

"Lolita," "Spartacus," "Paths of Glory," "Dr. Strangelove," "A Clockwork Orange" or "Full Metal Jacket" are just some of the titles available here. The bundle previously mentioned has all of the above plus "Barry Lyndon,"a movie that has been awarded four Oscars.

Check out the whole collection and choose your favorites or get the iTunes movie bundle.
