Buma/Stemra, the representative organization for composers and music publishers in the Netherlands, has struck a deal with Apple to deploy iTunes Match in the country.

A machine-translated version of the announcement (via MacRumors) reveals that “The negotiations between copyright organization Buma/Stemra and Apple about a license for iTunes Match have been completed. The contracts have been signed.”

Buma/Stemra says it has licensed over 50 legal online content providers. According to the news release, the group is “committed to future development of the legal online market, on terms that are optimal for composers, lyricists and publishers affiliated to Buma/Stemra.”

Until recently, iTunes Match has been a U.S. service only, but Apple now offers the music-matching feature to almost two dozen countries around the world, including 17 Latin American countries.
