A new selection of recordings changes the way we look at the iTunes Music Store. The list curated by the iTunes editors is simply called "Classical" and it holds 33 different collections or albums.

The Selection is divided into three different categories: From Medieval to Mozart, Beethoven and the Romantics, and 20th Century and Beyond. First one up is Glenn Gould's "Bach variations." The album with over 60 tracks was recorded back in 1955 and 1981.

Another featured album is Arvo Part's Tabula Rasa. This was inspired by Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony and recorded in 1984 with the Berlin Philharmonic.

Another masterpiece is Vivaldi's Four Seasons written for solo violin and orchestra and recorded by Janine Jansen. And you can also get the Nocturnes by Chopin. All the tracks have been remastered for iTunes.

When it comes to Beethoven, the selection is much larger. You can get the Symphonies no. 5 & 7 interpreted by Wiener Philharmoniker & Carlos Kleiber. Another great way to listen to Beethoven’s work is by getting an album signed by French pianist Helene Grimaud.

And since we are still with the romantics, do not miss Verdi's La Traviata, interpreted by the Wiener Philharmoniker along with Anna Netrebko and Carlo Rizzi.

The modern classics are well represented here with recordings by Gershwin, Puccini or Rachmaninov.
