After months of daily downtime, iTunes is still acting up

Apple’s iTunes Store has been experiencing a lot of issues as of late. Apps cannot be displayed, pages load slow (or not at all), errors pop up at every step of the way for hours at a time.

It’s no mystery Apple has been having a lot of trouble with its iCloud service ever since its introduction in 2011. And while it’s normal to have occasional issues with such a big Internet service, we’d hoped Apple had got around at least the iTunes irks.

But no cigar. At least in this part of the world, Apple continues to have performance issues with its content delivery network, resulting in iTunes downtime and slow loading.

"There was an error downloading your purchased music. An unknown error occurred (-50)," one common errors states.

The number of application downloads I put off because of similar errors is in the dozens. Apple would do itself a big favor by prioritizing the necessary fixes to its CDN sooner rather than later.
