Take a step back into the late '80s and '90s and remember the huge show that was the MTV Video Music Awards. Michael Jackson was there doing the Moon Walk and everyone was fighting over the little silver Moonman. It's hard to believe that 30 years flew by.

iTunes is making this a special celebration and its editors have created a special selection just for this event. The MTV Video Music Awards will be Live on TV on August 24th, starting at 9 p.m. US Pacific Time. The editors have divided this selection into a few categories: Apps, Guest Performers, Pre-Show Performers, Video of the Year Nominees and then each music genre got its own category. There are also categories for Best Visual Effects, Best Art Direction, Best Choreography or Best Video with a Social Message.

You can buy all the albums, single tracks, pre-order upcoming albums from Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande or Maroon 5 and have the music videos of the year on the same page in case you missed something. Note that when it comes to music nothing is free in this selection. All videos are $1.99 (€1.50) and songs sell for $1.29 (€0.97). You may find that some of the full albums are get extra discounts. For example, Iggy Azalea's new album, "The New Classic" is $11.99 (€9.03). Pay that and get 15 songs from the Australian raper singe and model.
