We don't usually see iTunes celebrating a great actor or director unless the guy is dead. This time, however, we have a special happy occasion. George Clooney has been in the news lately due to his upcoming wedding. He will get married to Beirut-born Amal Alamuddin. The bride is a human rights lawyer defending famous clients like Julian Assange (founder of Wikileaks) or the former Ukrainian prime-minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

George Clooney's latest big movie was “Gravity,” but he has been involved in four other newer flicks. It is worth mentioning that George Clooney turned from a career in acting to a director and producer one in recent years.

Moving back to iTunes, the new selection is divided into 10 different categories: Essentials, Written & Directed by George Clooney, Comedy, Action & Adventure, Drama & Romance, TV Shows, Documentary, The early Years, Cameos and Produced by George Clooney.

The first movie in the Essentials category is a classic: "O Brother, Where art Thou?." In this comedy from 2001, done by the Coen brothers, Clooney plays an escaped prisoner that gets everyone into trouble. You can rent this movie for $3.99 (€3.03) or make it your own for $17.99 (€13.65).

"Gravity" is the masterpiece of last year. The movie won a total of 7 Academy Awards including the one for Best Director. The good thing about "Gravity" is that it is included in the iTunes Extras package so when you pay $17.99 (€13.65) for it, you will get the trailer, special features like behind-the-scenes footage, director's commentary and a beautiful short film that presents a complementary view to the scene between the character played by Sandra Bullock and a man. George Clooney won a People's Choice Award in 2014 for his role.

"Ocean's Eleven" is another classic movie from 2001 that started a franchise followed by a few other good sequels. Besides George Clooney, this flick stars Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and others.

We're going over the Written and Directed by Clooney category to stick with his great and twisted comedies like "Burn After Reading" or "The Men Who Stare at Goats."

George Clooney got known for his role in the Drama TV Show "ER." You can actually get all five seasons of that TV show and a special one-hour "ER" retrospective. Clooney got involved into some really good documentaries, like "Darfur Now" or "JFK: One PM Central Standard Time."

If you are a fan of George Clooney, make sure you check out his movies in this awesome selection.
