Initially slated for an October release, Apple’s latest iTunes implementation is getting delayed. The decision may well have something to do with Hurricane Tim’s autumn cleaning.

At the iPhone 5 event in September, Apple showcased a brand spanking new version of iTunes that featured a mini player, a redesigned store, deep iCloud integration, a preview history, and much more.

At that time, iTunes 11 was said to launch in October.

However, an Apple spokesperson speaking to CNet now confirms that the company needs a little more time to iron out the bugs and, perhaps tweak its interface a bit.

The Apple spokesperson reportedly said, “The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right. We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.”
