Apple’s support page just posted that Windows users may have trouble after installing iTunes 10.5 on their systems. The symptoms are pretty serious and include increased usage of resources as well as a decrease in performance.
However, if you get past these and somehow manage to open the application, you might not have access to iTunes Store, as you may see a blank page. On the upside, there is a way to fix the problem, but the company provides a pretty
technical description on how to tackle the issue.
You have to open the System Information Console, identify third party LSPs (Layered Service Provider), determine the software that placed them there and remove the software. If trouble persists, try resetting the WinSock key.
It’s not an easy way out and the way I see it, many users would rather give up
iTunes than go through all this. We have not experienced this kind of problems with the program.
