In a statement provided to Tether, the developers of an Internet tethering application for iPhone, Apple has confirmed that customers who had downloaded the software prior to its pulling are still entitled to use the service as advertised by its creators.

Tether made a blog entry a few hours ago confirming Apple’s decision to remove the iTether iOS application from the iTunes App Store. The move on Apple’s behalf was extremely predictable, as the company has never allowed such functionality on its iPhones.

And while Tether found it hard to agree with Apple on their decision to delete iTether from the App Store, the developers also have a bit of good news to share with their fans:

“According to Apple, users who purchase iTether before it was pulled will continue to be able to use the product.”
