The AeroForce technology improves performance by 50% and prevents jams

When it introduced the first autonomous vacuum cleaner form the Roomba series, it was clear that iRobot would become a household name. Eager to speed up the achievement of that status, iRobot has launched the Roomba 800 Series.

Roomba is a small, flat and round vacuum cleaner that can clean up your home all on its own. Just a button press and voila! No detritus in sight.

There's always room for improvement though, which is why iRobot made the Roomba 800 Series, said to be 50% better at picking up dirt and other trappings.

The company has implemented the AeroForce technology, which consists of two rotors made of rubber with treads. They spin to break up and grab debris, leaving nothing behind.

That way, there's little chance of hair clogs and jams happening, and allergens (and similar particles) will end up safely absorbed by an air filter.

Other than that, the iRobot Roomba 800 Series is the same, eager, all-over-the-place contraption of before.

You can leave it to clean your floor with the press-to-clean-button in the center, and you can even schedule cleaning times for when you're not home.

Also, sensors and software that interpret the info provided by them enable it to travel without sucking up stray wires or falling down stairs. Sadly, a price wasn't given.

“With the Roomba 800 Series, we developed a highly efficient cleaning system that will revolutionize robotic vacuuming,” said Roomba 800 Product Manager Max Makeev.

“From the air flow accelerator to the high efficiency vacuum, everything about AeroForce was designed to multiply and maximize cleaning performance. In fact, the Roomba 800 Series has a 5x more powerful vacuum that removes up to 50-percent more dirt, debris, hair, and harmful allergens than previous Roomba models.”
