Apple’s latest hiring spree is pointing to some pretty fantastic future products, though we must draw a clear line between speculation and fact. Eh, who are we kidding? We love letting our imagination run loose!

It’s been reported in the media that Apple had hired a certain John Morrell, who is behind the dynamics engineering of the segway, a two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery-powered electric vehicle.

Morrell was on track to become the director of Yale’s Center for Engineering Innovation & Design when he got snatched by Apple for an undisclosed position.

Since he’s an expert on interactions between man and machine, it has been speculated that Apple is planning to wow the world with some pretty fantastic products in the near future.

So, when Apple’s latest job opening lists “Artificial Intelligence” and “Machine Learning” in the description, you tend to lift an eyebrow or two.
