The new PMPs are going to be revealed in 2008

iRiver has proudly introduced its brand new product prototype this week on their site. The last one on the company's portfolio was dubbed P10. However, since there is no official word on the device's production, I guess the player is under development.

Given the photos that were posted on the Internet, the player is going to follow the latest trends in the industry, meaning it will probably feature one of that impossible thin design patterns, as well as a weird aesthetics that will dazzle some minds.

As expected, the Korean company didn't say exactly when it is going to release the portable media player, therefore there is no official word on that, either.

However, as an additional info about the unnamed portable media player from iRiver, you should know it is going to boost a cool touchscreen, with one of those mirror fresh casing, similar to those of the LG Shine mobile communication devices.

As you're probably wondering about the player's dimensions, I just know it will be amazingly thin (just 6.8mm), but within the boundaries of the new technology... so beware, Apple!

I bet the iRiver player is going to have everything it needs to compete with some other cool players that were announced to hit the electronics market in the same period.

All in all, at a first glimpse, it looks like this portable media player is iRiver's way of promptly responding to other giant names in the electronics industry, such as Samsung and Apple.

The company's Clix3 was also mentioned in the recent announcements from the company's representatives. The player is going to be released at the same time with the P10 device.

Too bad we won't see too much of the specifications list, until next year.
