Developer Will Strafach has posted several tweets regarding Apple’s upcoming iPod touch, including some tidbits about a Panorama mode for photos, as well as details relating to the player’s hardware.

Carrying the internal code name N78AP, “[iPod touch] also has that Panoramic photo feature enabled as far as I know. I think the new iPhone does as well,” said Strafach. The developer has since deleted his tweet, noting that the information was already known.

Strafach, a well-regarded figure in developer circles, also said that the iPod touch carries a taller 1136 x 640 display, just like the iPhone 5 is rumored to sport.

The iPod touch 5 will use the S5L8942X applications processor, he added. According to reports, the numbering is consistent with the 32-nanometer A5 SoC (system-on-a-chip) found in the iPad 2 and third-generation Apple TV.
