14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Fresly LLC has released iPhotonews for iPhone and iPad, a news service that conveys information in a highly visual manner.
It isn’t clear what the free app is missing, but iPhotonews has the “in-app purchase” warning hanging over on iTunes, and the developer says this is what you get for $0.99 per month: “Timing in Slide Show, Time Range of the news visualized, Countries, Music channels, Categories filters.”
The app is available in the United States and Canada for now, but in two weeks’ time, the European newsroom will start with new app versions for France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK. Soon to follow will be Japan, Hong Kong, Australia and others. iPhotonews works with any iDevice that can handle iOS 4.3.
