Australia and New Zealand now have a go for iPhoto books, calendars, cards and prints. Using the iPhoto print products Apple has now made available, you can make a flip book, record with a video camera, create nifty card gifts, export frames, import into iPhoto and lots of other stuff. Read on to learn more.

Books
Creating a photo book in iPhoto is very easy. Just choose an Apple-designed theme, drop it in your photos and add text. You can choose from a range of styles and sizes, including hardcover, softcover and wire-bound, according to Apple.

New 8.5" x 11" hardcover keepsake books include a suede-like cover
with a foil-printed title and a customizable dust jacket. Picture books come in two different sizes: Large (Double-sided) - Size: 8.5 x 11, 20 pages (10 sheets), are available for A$39.99 inc GST and will set you back some A$1.29 inc GST in extra for additional pages (100 max); Large (Single-sided) - Size: 8.5 x 11, 10 pages (10 sheets), goes for A$39.99 inc GST, while additional pages cost the same as with Double sided.

Calendars
iPhoto calendars are now larger: 10.4-by-13-inch size. Mac owners can choose a colorful Apple-designed template and make their photo posters, add text as well and even place photos and captions on individual days to mark birthdays and anniversaries.

Cards
Choose from a whole catalogue of styles in folding greeting cards or 4-by-6-inch postcards. Use the built-in tools to resize, rotate and crop photos, and add effects. When it's done, you can either print at home or send out for professional printing. Here, you have Greeting Cards and Postcards. 5-by-7-inch folded greeting cards let you choose from a variety of Apple-designed themes that include designs in horizontal and vertical formats. Just add your favorite photos and text. Envelopes are included.

Interesting article about the long awaited Australian and New Zealand access to iPhoto books etc. However I would love some info about where mac users can have them printed? Does this happen automatically when you select "publish"? I have not been able to find a printer who provides this mac compatible service yet.
