Waiting for the third

The second iPhone update from what has high chances of becoming a long line of such releases has just been made available. Update v1.0.2 comes to patch some more problems that the first one left unattended.

The first iPhone patch has been released about three weeks ago, which left enough time for Apple to start considering the next one. At that time, no new features have been added to the handset, managing only to fix some problems that users had been facing since the phone's release.

Things are somewhat similar to this v1.0.2 update release. The iPhone owner should not expect too much from this one either, as all it brings is "bug fixes". This is supposed to get rid of all the annoying problems that the handset used to bring until now and make its use a lot less frustrating.

A series of problems has been discovered since the handset's release, although the software seems to be pretty stable, overall. Many hackers have rummaged the iPhone for discovering problems with its software and not only. Some of their findings have been sent to Apple even along with solutions for fixing them and making the mobile phone a lot more stable and less vulnerable to attacks.

The iPhone v1.0.2 update is 92 MB in size, which means that it includes a lot of software upgrades, although there are surely some others left to come in future Apple releases. Still, the developers' improvements are almost invisible, leaving the impression that the new update only takes up space and nothing else.

This second update is available through the Check for Updates feature in iTunes. It is supposed to be better than previous software versions, which makes it worth the download. The transfer rate is somewhat faster than in the past, which makes it easier to upgrade to the latest software version.
