Apple has just announced that the iPhone will run applications created with Web 2.0 Internet standards. This comes as even one more high-tech feature which has great chances of catching the interest of mobile phone users.

As the release date for the iPhone comes even closer, more and more information is unveiled as to feed the hunger for more news on this device of mobile phone users everywhere. Web 2.0 on a mobile phone is a highly evolved function which few handsets currently support. As a result, one more PC-like feature will be packed in the iPhone device.

The Web 2.0 applications that the iPhone will work with behave just like any others which can access the handset's services. As a result, the interaction between mobile phone user and the services that iPhone enables will be provided in a more efficient way.

The advantage of using Web 2.0 applications is that they turn out to be considerably more responsive than traditional web applications and offer a wider range of possibilities for their users. Moreover, they are easier to handle and can be distributed over the Internet far easier than before.

iPhone is Apple's first mobile phone release and has been highly discussed ever since first news of it appeared. The release date for this device has been set for June 19th.
