Kevin Rose's new prophecy

Kevin Rose is the guy that predicted the launch of the iPod nano in 2005, and now he confirmed the information he knew about the iPhone on a vidcast. Whether this is going to remain a rumor or the future events will confirm it is something that remains to be seen, but since the Digg and Diggnation guy talked about some of the features of the iPhone that we didn't get a chance to hear about so far, his words are not something to be taken as "another rumor".

According to Kevin Rose, January is the month that will probably be the first one in the iPhone's history, and all CDMA and GSM providers should have these phones available in the same period, without any significant delays.

As expected, the iPhone will be very small, but this shouldn't make a problem out of its two battery design. Why two batteries? Well, as you may already know, the iPhone will be able to play music too, but that shouldn't be a surprise. The two battery design allows you to use your phone even after the music player is out of energy, and this is an excellent idea, in my opinion. After all, how many people having phones with MP3 playing capabilities missed important calls just because their battery was drained out by the latest MTV hits? I don't have any statistics available, but I am sure that their number is pretty large!

The built in Flash memory of the iPhone comes in two sizes, 4GB and 8GB, with a price tag of 249$ for the first one, and 449$ for the last. The keyboard will be "slide-out style", and the iPod is expected to have a touchscreen too, but that's not sure yet. Anyway, the problem is that nothing is certain at this time, and all we can do is wait until January and see what comes up in the meantime. No matter if you're ready or not, the iPhone will come to you for sure, so when you're planning your January expenses, don't forget about it!
