The code-savvy peeps at Agilebits Inc. have rolled out the latest version of their flagship iOS app, 1Password, featuring improved security, Dropbox enhancements, better support for the new iPad’s screen, and improved filling of log-in dialogs.

1Password 3.6.5. uses 10,000 PBKDF2 iterations to protect the encryption key, and Dropbox authentication tokens are now stored in the system keychain, Agilebits is glad to inform.

The new app also has better support for the Retina display found on the third-generation Apple iPad. The update further improves login filling and addresses some unspecified bugs.

1Password is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 3.1 or later.

It’s a $14.99 (€11,99) purchase that may appear expensive, but that could prove a worthwhile investment in the grim scenario of losing valuable passwords and credentials.
