For the seventh consecutive time, J.D. Power and Associates is ranking Apple the top dog among smartphone manufacturers in customer satisfaction.

Apple has achieved a score of 839 on a 1,000-point scale performing well in all factors, particularly in ease of use and features, said J.D. Power and Associates. HTC is just behind Apple with a 798 score.

However, it is a bit puzzling to hear that Apple’s iPhones rank high in all aspects at the same time when J.D. Power states that “satisfaction with battery performance is by far the least satisfying aspect of smartphones.”

Battery life isn’t exactly the iPhone’s strong point (especially on iOS 5). However, J.D. Power does clarify that “satisfaction levels with battery performance differ widely between owners of 3G- and 4G-enabled smartphones.” Apple currently doesn’t commercialize any 4G iPhones.
