An Apple retail store on Knox Street (Dallas, TX) continues to remain an attractive target for burglars as another person has managed to rob the store and walk away unapprehended.

The target of at least three other break-ins, “The Apple Store on Knox Street has been struck by a thief once again — this time, a man stole iPhones worth nearly $2,000,” the Dallas News’ Crime Blog reports.

That’s $2,000 (€1550 or roughly £1300), which translates into about three handsets. I’d say it’s pretty redundant to say $2000-worth, when just three iPhones are involved, but the figures are accurate nonetheless.

The police say the robber walked in the store posing like a regular customer asking around and browsing through the products on display. When he saw that the time was right to make a move, “the man grabbed three black iPhones from a display and fled the store.”

The police don’t have a solid lead so far, but they do have the surveillance video from the store, as well as the serial numbers of the three iPhones he stole, which could lead to his arrest.
