Not many games for iPhone and iPod touch manage to combine multiple, different gameplay elements like Card Ninja. Developed by the people at Pint Sized Mobile, the title does both brain-hurting puzzle, as well as fast-paced action. It also features crazy sounds and special effects, making this just the right recipe for any kind of gamer out there.

In Card Ninja, you are tasked with flicking cards at matching colors and symbols. The further you get, the harder the task. Beating the clock is of the essence, but also is flicking the right cards in the right direction. From start to finish, Card Ninja constantly demands your full attention and quick reflexes. Don't even get me started on the sound effects. Every good throw means someone or something got hit. Whether it's shattered glass, a chicken biting the dust, or a cook that got it right between the eyes, you'll love every one of them.

Unfortunately, I didn't get too far in my Card Ninja game, but that's just to show you there's no chance of getting bored with this title. It's quite hard to beat, but that's exactly what we're after!

Advanced levels challenge you to flick cards at moving targets, or to rapidly throw as many cards in special conditions, such as in the Assassin or the Ghost modes. You must gather enough cards to progress to higher levels and advance in the title.

Card Ninja gameplay screenshots and Wild Card riddles

There are Wild Cards to be had, some of which are “Good,” while others are “Evil.” To learn how to use them, hit the help button. There, you can have a quick look at the Wild Cards available in the game and learn what each of them does. Use them wisely, and you might just earn your spot among the top Ninjas as your score gets uploaded to the Internet.

Card Ninja requires that you think fast, move fast, but also manage the way you use your gained skills, in order to succeed. Adding the cool Ninja artwork and sound effects, this will probably be the best game you've played in a long time, not just on the iPhone. Oh, and the price is a steal. Currently, Card Ninja is just $0.99 in the App Store. Need I actually say it? The app is a buy!

Card Ninja is rated 9+ and requires an iPhone or iPod touch with 2.2.1 Software Update applied.

Download Card Ninja via iTunes ($0.99)
