iPhone developer Yudo has announced the upcoming availability of a retro 8-bit Synthesizer + Sequencer app called 8Bitone. As its dubbing implies, the program is both a synthesizer and sequencer and simulates the sounds of 8-bit Personal Computers and Game Consoles from the '80s. According to the developer, the nostalgic electric sounds of PSG and SSG vintage voices are revived in the 8Bitone app.

Speaking of its product's characteristics, Yudo reveals that the Sequencer side of the application uses the general Piano Roll Screen. According to the description, it has been adjusted for Multi-Touch use so that composing with your fingertips is easy. The Synthesizer consists of simple Knobs, Switchs, and Sliders for easy understanding, Yudo says.

The main features of 8Bitone include:

Synthesizer: Monophonic, one oscillator or LowBitNoise, LFO, Envelope and HiSpeed Arpeggiator.

Sequencer Edit: using the Truck manager, composing is easy in the Piano Roll; additionally, Voice Change can produce different Voices in the song, with four trucks being the maximum limit.

Voice Edit: the aforementioned nostalgic sounds can be created here by turing knobs and operating sliders on Synthesizer screen; a group of values called “VOICE” can be assigned to songs; each song can use a maximum of 128 Voices.

Edit Controller: it shows three types of monitors, while selection is operated by touching each of the monitor's name.

Transcontroller: it performs PLAY, STOP, COPY, PASTE, DELETE function for songs (TCR button).

Recording: CD monoral quality (format) can be recorded; however, the CD quality may not have much meaning for those electric sounds, according to developer Yudo.

PC Sync: recorded data can be sent to your computer via Wi-Fi.
