TransGaming Inc has announced Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (from D3Publisher) for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game has been tailored specifically to suit the two devices' innovative features, says TransGaming.

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is a blend of classic RPG and puzzle, targeting both casual players, as well as the hardcore segment. Incorporating strategy, role-playing elements and a persistent storyline in a puzzle board setting, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is sure to deliver an immersive gaming experience, TransGaming believes. The iPhone / iPod touch version of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords “builds on an existing relationship between TransGaming and D3Publisher.”

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is currently being customized for iPhone and iPod touch play by TransGaming. The company leverages its proprietary virtualization technology, Cider, to port Windows-original games to Intel Macs. The RPG title will be available for download on the iTunes App Store this fall. No price point has been set yet.
