An alternative for Apple's battery replacements

Everybody was stunned when hearing about the fact that the iPhone's battery will only be charged 300 times. The shock grew even more once they found out about the high fees that Apple asks from their customers for replacing the deteriorated battery. An improvised battery replacement kit has appeared lately to make up for this mistake, although it's not coming from actual producers.

Apple has found itself in the middle of a scandal regarding the iPhone's battery. One of their customers has recently filed a lawsuit against the company on account of the fact that they informed people of the low iPhone battery life only after having launched the device.

Moreover, the real issue was that the handset owner could not replace the faulty battery by himself, but had to send it over to Apple to take care of it. In exchange for this service, he had to pay an average sum of USD 30 for a handset to replace the one left for fixing. Costs grow even more if the device is out of warranty. In this case, Apple charges USD 80 for the replacing, along with USD 7 for shipping.

This sum of money sounds huge, especially when considering the fact that the iPhone didn't come cheap either. In such a case, this Chinese elementary battery replacing kit sounds like just the right alternative, as it costs only USD 20. Unfortunately, the included battery is not an original Apple one, as the kit does not come from this company. For this reason, the iPhone owner might find himself/herself in the unfortunate situation of having bought a product which won't top the previous one in performances.

Until the iPhone's warranty expires, there are low chances of anyone choosing to put a fake battery in their device, as the difference in replacing costs is only a small one. Things might stand differently later on, hopefully without even more news on Chinese battery explosions.
