Jermaine Smit is a pretty well-known concept phone designer who has brought us some amazing visions of upcoming phones countless times.

And this week, he is doing it yet again. The whole world is currently anticipating the advent of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus (or iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, depends on whom you choose to believe) later this year.

Well, Smit seems to be a proponent of the iPhone 7 theory, and with his new concept, he shows us what he believes Apple’s next-gen iPhone will look like. He's also added a bunch of interesting tweaks which you’ll certainly like.

First of all, the conceptual iPhone 7 brings some major improvements to the home button. Apart from housing the fingerprint scanner, the home button now allows users to swipe back and forward in the menu by virtue of the iSwipe function.

Take a look at the new camera

The phone is said to be taking advantage of wireless charging via the so-called iCharge setup. As the rumor mill has been saying, this year’s iPhones will don a 12MP dual LED camera on board, and in the concept featured in the photos and video below, the frontal one has been improved to 4MP capacity with 120 degrees wide view (this bit represents the artist’s contribution).

Here we notice a different camera design which looks pretty sleek.

The concept video goes on to talk about purported specs of the upcoming phone duo, including the new A9 processor manufactured by Samsung and improved 2GB of RAM capacity.

Other than that, we’ve been hearing that the company plans to implement its new pressure-sensitive Force Touch technology and quite possibly the larger iPhone will take advantage of sapphire glass display.

Going back to Smit’s current iPhone 7 concept, the design of the handset is not very different from the iPhone 6’s. With the exception that we now have a golden Apple logo on the back and there’s also a golden metal frame in the picture.

While Apple is preparing to launch new iPhone goodness upon the world, Samsung too is working tirelessly on its next-gen flagship device, the Galaxy Note 5.

The three phones will probably be announced around the same time, so the competition is going to be pretty tough.
