There are many rumors surrounding Apple's next iPhone smartphone, the so-called iPhone 6S, but we won't know for sure until the company announces it.

Until then, we can only speculate on what the Cupertino plans to include in its next smartphone and we don't lack ideas in this regard. For example, there have been reports claiming Apple's iPhone 6S will pack a display better than one made of sapphire and that it may boast at least 32GB of internal memory.

Some other sources say the iPhone 6S will feature 3D Touch technology and an A9 chipset manufactured by Samsung. Obviously, none of these rumors has been confirmed yet, so take these with a grain of salt, just like the following report about the iPhone 6S that has just popped up online.

According to AppleInsider, a person familiar with Apple's future product plans, who has provided reliable info in the past, claims that the iPhone 6S, along with the Plus variant will be packed with 2GB of RAM, unlike the current iPhone 6 models that feature only 1GB RAM.

Apple SIM comes pre-installed in iPad Air 2 as well

On top of that, the company plans to introduce the Apple SIM along with the iPhone 6S, which will allow users to select a carrier of their choosing when they activate the smartphone.

This is the same SIM that is supported in the iPad Air 2 and has seen some limitations on its productivity when the tablet was not purchased from Apple.

Based on previous experience, the next iPhone should be announced sometime in September, so there is still time for Apple to decide whether or not it will go with the Apple SIM in the 6S model, since carriers won't be so happy about it.

However, since the iPhone is one of world's most popular smartphones, it's highly unlikely that carriers won't comply to Apple's requests even if that would imply offering a smartphone with a special SIM.
