Customers who are still looking to purchase the iPhone 6 Plus will most likely be disappointed to hear that this particular model is now sold out in the United States.

Although you could pre-order one from any of the four major carriers, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon, a few hours ago, as of now the iPhone 6 Plus is only available with major delays.

Sprint, for example, has delayed all iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders for the 16GB model for 4-6 weeks, while the 64GB and 128GB variants have been delayed by up to 3 weeks.

On the other hand, AT&T has confirmed it will ship the iPhone 6 Plus in 21 to 28 business days. Last but not least, Verizon Wireless says the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus will ship around October 7, whereas the 16GB and 128GB versions will be delivered after another week, October 14.

These shipping dates are taken directly from the US carriers’ webstores, but they may change throughout the day due to high demand.

Another purchase option would be Apple Store, where you can still order the iPhone 6 Plus from any of the four carriers, but with a similar 3-4 weeks delay, depending on what version of the smartphone you want to get.

The iPhone 6 is still scheduled to ship on time

Those who do not live in the United States and want to purchase the iPhone 6 Plus from their countries will be faced with similar delays if they want to pre-order through the Apple Store.

It looks like there are delays of 3 weeks on average in most of the countries where Apple made the iPhone 6 Plus available for purchase. So, depending on where you live, you may or may not receive your pre-ordered iPhone 6 Plus beginning September 19.

The good news is that the iPhone 6 is still available for purchase on Apple Store without any delays, so if you really want the new smartphone but don’t care about size, this is the only alternative.

Given the high demand that iPhones are usually met with as soon as pre-orders kick off, the fact that it’s sold out is not surprising at all. The surprise is the fact that the larger iPhone 6 model was sold out before the smaller version, which was supposed to be more appealing to Apple fans who are used with the iPhone 5s’ 4-inch display.
