Major carrier China Mobile is already advertising the iPhone 6

One of the largest smartphone markets in the world, China, is going to be among the first to get the iPhone 6. Chinese carriers are so eager to start selling Apple’s upcoming smartphone that some have already started to advertise it ahead of the official announcement.

China Mobile is one of the network operators in the Mainland that will carry both the 4.7-inch version and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model. Some of the adverts with which the carrier plans to attract more customers have already been spotted in stores, and GSMArena has already received some pictures via an anonymous tipster.

According to these ads, the iPhone 6 will be available beginning September 10, but this is likely to be the date when China Mobile kicks off pre-orders for the smartphone, not the actual release date.

iPhone 6 is expected to go on sale in about 10 days from the moment it gets announced, which puts the market launch somewhere around September 19. Take this with a pinch of salt though until Apple confirms it later today.

Unfortunately, no pricing for the actual device is unveiled in the ads, just the carrier’s iPhone 6 tariff, though we can already guess how much both iPhone 6 models will cost.

Previous rumors claim the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be available for purchase in Russia for around 29,990 rubles, which is about $710 (€625) outright, while the 5.5-inch model should cost around 34,990 rubles ($945 / €730).

A trade-in program for iPhone owners would probably be a good idea

However, considering that prices in Russia are around 15-25% higher than in most other countries, we hope the iPhone 6 will be available for slightly lower prices in these regions. Obviously, the best deals will be offered in the United States, where carriers will sell it on 2-year agreements for a much lower amount.

It would be a good idea for Apple to introduce some kind of trade-in program for iPhone owners, so that those with older models to be able to upgrade for much less than the outright price.

Anyway, the good news is Apple will definitely announce both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 models, something that wasn’t likely possible due to various reasons like fear of competition between the two variations or even lack of components (sapphire display).

Well, it looks like these rumors haven’t been accurate at all and we will see both iPhone 6 models being presented later today on the stage.
