Apple will not be selling any iPhone 5s models until the actual launch day of the handset in stores. That’s the message sent out by the Cupertino giant in emails to customers around the world.

Set to be deployed in ten countries for its debut, the iPhone 5s will be officially put out for sale at 12:01 AM Pacific Time on September 20. Eager fans are already camping out in front of their local stores to make sure they’re not missing out.

There’s a good chance supplies are extremely tight, so standing in line might not be such a bad idea, if you’re really that crazy about Apple’s fingerprint-reading iPhone.

iPhone 5c, on the other hand, has been available on pre-order since early last week. People have been scooping up the yellow model like crazy, and there’s a good chance the same thing will happen with the Gold iPhone 5s when it finally goes on sale this Friday.
