A Vietnamese company called Wonderful Saigon Electrics is reportedly manufacturing the 12-megapixel camera sensor destined for Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5S.

Vietnam’s tinhte.vn, a blog with a reliable track record on Apple leaks, says it has received word from Wonderful Saigon Electrics, “a branch of a Japanese company specializing in manufacturing components for Apple,” regarding the camera module that Apple will fit inside its upcoming iPhone.

The company reportedly has a factory in the Binh Duong province where it crafts camera modules for the iPhone.

The anonymous source revealed to the blog that “the next generation Apple iPhone will have 12MP camera resolution, together with many new features such as HDR shooting and better shooting [at] night.”

Apple’s iPhone is one of the most popular cameras out there. The iPhone 5 currently has an 8-megapixel camera which already shoots some pretty amazing images. A 12-megapixel sensor will undoubtedly make a splash in the Apple fan base.
