A new iPhone model is expected to become available for purchase before the end of this year, supposedly called iPhone 5S, and currently rumored to pack a fingerprint scanner inside.

The info comes from a recent article on Reuters, which also claims that iPhone 5S will be only one of the new smartphone models that Apple might bring to shelves before the end of the year.

The company is also said to be working on the release of a cheaper iPhone flavor, one that would hit shelves in a variety of color options and would sport a plastic casing.

The handset, supposedly priced at around $99 (€75), should be released in 5 or 6 different shades, which will differentiate it from the more expensive iPhone variants that come only in Black and White.

However, it appears that this smartphone model might have been delayed to 2014.
