Device allegedly employs IGZO screen technology, NFC, fingerprint recognition

Another day, another iPhone “leak.” This one comes from the not-too-famous Simonlyradar.nl, a Dutch blog whose author has been kind enough to tap us with the following information, in order to spread the word.

For all we know, the leak could be accurate. The specs are certainly on par with all the rumors (even though the rendering isn't), and we’re pretty sure every Apple fan hopes everything here materializes.

Without further ado, the blog claims a tipster gave them the specs to the next-generation iPhone (which can be iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, according the post), and they go like this:

4.0 inches 1136 x 640 pixels IGZO screen technology iOS 7 12.0 megapixel camera 128 GB internal memory (optional) NFC chip Fingerprint (for unlocking and payments) Global 4G support A7 chip 1.2GHz quad-core 2 GB RAM SGX554MP4 GPU

That NFC bit has been widely anticipated to materialize for the past year or so, while the fingerprint recognition technology has been speculated in the media more recently, but has garnered an equal amount of press.

The A7 chip is also a given, though we wouldn’t put our money on that 128GB storage spec just yet. Flash memory is still relatively expensive.

Citing their tipster, the Dutch blog says (translation), “the screen of the iPhone 5S no larger than its predecessor and the same goes for the screen.”

“This does not mean that the screen quality will be comparable, because thanks to the new IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) screen technology would be the image brighter than the last iPhone.”

The image above (click to enlarge) is said to be a rendering of the phone sporting these exact specs, but we’re having a really hard time picturing all this technology crammed inside such a thin chassis.
