Reports have emerged about a new camera from Omnivision, the company which equips Apple’s iPhones with imaging sensors.
Come summer 2013, the company will have a new lineup of imaging sensors suitable for 1080p video with 60 frames per second and two megapixels dedicated entirely to selfie fans.
There’s a good chance the next-generation iPhone from Apple will pack this sensor behind the lens of its FaceTime (front-facing) camera, and whether the phone will be called iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, you can be sure the Internet will be a more vivid place as soon as this thing hits the market.
Speaking of which, Apple hasn’t made any indications that it is launching a new iPhone at WWDC, and analysts aren’t holding their breath for a summer launch either. In other words, look out for the iPhone 5S in fall.
