According to one of the presentation slides shown by Apple at WWDC 2013, the next iPhone they’re going to release will have a camera so powerful it will record video at 60 frames per second (FPS).
Whether it ends up being called iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, the next-generation smartphone from Apple will most likely be capable of recording video at 60 frames per second.
That, according to a slideshow put up by Chris Federighi at WWDC 2013, which you can see above. Down and to the right it states “60-fps video capture.”
That’s actually something for the developer community to chew on, because Federighi was talking about the updated SDK that comes along with iOS 7 so you can code a camera app that takes advantage of this enhancement.
Now all we need is the actual iPhone with 60 FPS capabilities.
