Reports from China say Apple CEO Tim Cook is on another trip to the country to forge new deals with operators to carry its flagship product, the iPhone.

Tim Cook reportedly spoke with China Telecom, the largest fixed line service and third largest mobile telecommunication provider in the People's Republic of China.

What they talked about isn’t clear, but you don’t have to be a psychic to guess that the discussions most likely involved carrying the next generation of iPhones on a network that has 700 million subscribers.

Cook has been quoted on numerous occasions as saying that Apple is making considerable efforts to get the iPhone into as many Chinese hands as possible. He also said the Asian market is one of the best bets for Apple (using slightly more words).
