Brikk, a company that designs and manufactures couture products and accessories for various industries, is launching a limited edition product line of high-end cases for the iPhone 4 and, according to their announcement, the iPhone 5 as well.

Whether or not their titanium cases fit Apple’s yet unconfirmed fifth-generation iPhone, they promise to give a percentage of the proceeds from each sale to humanitarian aid in the form of rice.

Don’t bother checking your calendars, April Fools is months away.

Now, the “Trim”, as these cases are called, will be targeted to the consumer seeking premium, luxury mobile phone accessories, says Brikk. They’re selling the cases exclusively through Roseark at various locations in in Los Angeles.

The product will be arriving in New York, London, Paris and Tokyo later on (perhaps when they realize the iPhone 5 version of the Trim doesn’t fit the actual phone), says Brikk.

Going by the imagery provided by Brikk, they seem to believe the iPhone 5 will be unchanged in form factor, much like several Wall Street analysts.

Jokes aside, Brikk's 'profit for philanthropy' model funnels proceeds to assist populations around the world suffering from hunger. So, as long as they’re helping the needy, I’m glad to report on their products.

“With the impending release of the iPhone 5 by Apple, Brikk is offering a trade-in to the Trim for iPhone 5, for all purchases of the Trim before the end of 2011,” says the company.

The Trim cases are said to be composed primarily of titanium. However, other “exotic alloys” can be found in the accessories, as well as precious materials including gold, platinum, DLC and sapphire.

“The metals and processes utilized are more commonly applied to scientific purposes such as space travel and exploration. Rarely, if ever, have they been used for the consumer market,” says Brikk.
