Apple’s iPhone 5 builds on the success of its predecessors effectively improving itself on every aspect (except maybe for the Maps application), including the display.

Measuring four inches on the diagonal, the iPhone 5 screen seems only a tad taller, but you'll feel the difference straight away when you start using your favorite apps again.

Although it does display higher-contrasting colors than its predecessors, it’s actually easier on the eyes, for one reason or another. The colors are also warmer too.

Every app you used to type text in now feels more comfortable, both in landscape, and in portrait view. Maps shows more of your surroundings, and Twitter can display more timely messages from your followers (gallery below).

Watching video is pure pleasure, whether it’s YouTube, TED (screenshot above), or whatever your kids enjoy watching these days.

And you can finally make something of the App Store when you hit the Featured tab. Of course, it’s not just the bigger screen that needs to take credit here, but also Apple’s Chomp acquisition.
