It was put up for reservations both via Apple and through wireless carriers

The new Apple iPhone 4S device is now available for pre-order on the Canadian market, both via Apple's own website, as well as through various wireless carriers in the country.

The smartphone was unveiled to the world only a few days ago, and is expected to become available for purchase come October 14th, which is no later than next Friday.

The new Apple iPhone is packed with a dual-core application processor and an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and runs under the new iOS 5 platform.

In Canada, the handset will become available for purchase via wireless carriers like Bell, TELUS, Virgin Mobile, and Rogers and Fido.

All three flavors of the new iPhone 4S device will be released in the country, including the 16GB, the 32GB and the 64GB versions.

Those who would like to purchase the new device will find it available at carriers both on various monthly plans on their networks, as well as contract free, MobileSyrup notes.

The iPhone 4S 16 GB model features a price tag of $159 (about $154USD / 114EUR) when purchased with a three-year contract agreement from Bell, TELUS or Virgin Mobile.

The 32GB flavor of the mobile phone is available for reservations for $259 (around $251USD / 186EUR) at these carriers, while the 64GB model goes for $359 (roughly $348USD / 258EUR) on their 3-year offerings.

Free of contract, the new device will be available for $649 (approximately $629USD / 466EUR) for the 16GB flavor, $749 (around $726USD / 538EUR) for the 32GB iteration, and $849 (about $823USD / 610EUR) for the 64GB model.

Those who would like to acquire the new handset contract free will find it either at Apple, where it is also unlocked or via Bell. At Rogers and Fido, existing customers can see the new device on pre-order via the the online “Reservation System”.

The new Apple iPhone 4S is also expected to become available for purchase via Best Buy and Future Shop, which will kick off pre-orders soon.
