While most Canadian carriers confirmed the upcoming availability of Apple's iPhone 4S, Koodo Mobile stays mum on smarpthone's launch.

Those unfamiliar with Koodo Mobile should know that the second-tier carrier had some success with the iPhone 4 (16GB) retails.

Although Apple's smartphone is currently sold out online, customers who don't want to upgrade directly to the latest iPhone 4S, can purchase the iPhone 4 (16GB) in stores for $500 on the Tab or $160 with a new three-year agreement.

According to the guys over at MobileSyrup (via tipster), Koodo Mobile is expected to start retailing the iPhone 4 (8GB) on October 14, but no details about price options have been revealed yet.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that the iPhone 4 (8GB) is available in the United States from major carriers, including AT&T, Verizon and Sprint for as low as $99 with two-year agreements.

However, the big news is that the iPhone 4S will arrive at Koodo Mobile on October 14, the same date that the device will be officially launched on the market by other major carriers, including Rogers, Bell and TELUS.

Unlike most of the Canadian carriers that confirmed the iPhone 4S, Koodo Mobile will not be taking pre-orders for the smartphone, but it may offer a better deal to Apple fans.

Information about the iPhone 4S price tag has yet to be revealed, but it will probably go for $160 with a new three-year agreement and $500 on the Tab, the folks at MobileSyrup suggest.

If the info is confirmed the iPhone 4 (16GB) price will probably be dropped to make way for the next-generation iPhone 4S device.

On related news, additional second-tier operators such as MTS, Fido and Virgin Mobile, have already confirmed that they will offer the iPhone 4S beginning October 14.
