A label spotted on a Chinese forum depicts an alleged iPhone 4S packaging, though its veracity is highly questionable.

The label (published by 9to5mac) reads “iPhone 4S, White, 16GB”, which basically says there’s not going to be any cheap 8GB iPhone set to address the mid-tier market, but rather a speed-bumped iPhone 4, as previously rumored.

This would also cancel the iPhone 5 announcement everyone’s hoping for, since Apple doesn’t need two almost equally powerful, but different iPhones.

So take this for what you will, but don’t waste too much brain juice on it. For all we know, someone could have faked this using grandma’s old typewriter.

I just thought of it as worth mentioning, just to make sure you guys aren’t missing out on any potential leaks from China (which is really the home land of the iPhone).
